    • Quantities required per kit
  2. Confirm:
    • All components look appropriate for the customer’s expectations.
    • Quantities match what will ship for one kit.

Use this section to answer “What’s included in this kit?” questions.

3. Check Item / Component Availability

To check inventory for a component or a kit item:

  1. From the main menu, navigate to:
Main Menu → Inventory → Manage Inventory → Review Inventory Balance Info → Item/Product Availability
  2. On the Item/Product Availability search page:
    • SetID: KAPCO
    • Business Unit: WHSEB (or applicable warehouse)
    • Enter Item ID (for a component or for the kit, depending on how it’s stocked).
    • Click Search or OK.
  3. On the availability page:
    • Qty Available = current starting quantity available.
    • Use the Demand and Supply tab to see the next incoming shipment/ETA and additional open demand.

Repeat as needed for each critical component to understand kit availability risk.

4. Interpreting Kit Availability

Use the component availability to determine whether a kit can ship complete:

  • If all components are in stock (sufficient Qty Available), the kit is effectively in stock.
  • If any component is short:
    • Check Demand and Supply for inbound POs/ETAs.
    • Communicate the kit’s estimated ship date based on the latest required component.

Document any constraints or substitutions in the order or ticket as per your team process.
