Inventory By Location Hold Cheat Sheet

Below is a breakdown of some of our locations to help you understand and hopefully put a timeline in place for when an item will be off RHOLD/RHLD.

There are some locations that are actual locations that have RHOLD items in them as well but those are QHOLD items, or items that have an issue being worked on. Examples of those would be Location 14615A, or 70376D.

All items stored in Mocksville have locations starting with 86. Example is 86001A. David also has those locations marked as Mocksville in 'Call Out" column. If any of those items are needed we can send a Ktruck over, or have Mateer grab a entire trailer. Turn around would be between same day to 2 days depending on Mateer’s schedule.

Damaged items are in a DAMG location. These items will not be added back into inventory.

Kitroom items are Staged in KITRMSTGE and KITROOM. Receiving tries to put them away as soon as Sabrina lets them know the kit is complete. Minus STAGEB23, the other locations show up as KITROOM on "Call Out" column.

P&D's are locations used for pick-up and delivery of items. These are in-between locations for put away. Anytime you see an item in a P&D location, they are on their way to an active available inventory location. Turnaround time for a P&D item is pretty much always same-day. If it is not put away on first shift, third shift will get it up through the night. Only when our Turret operators are out, do we see a slowdown in the put away of P&D items. P&D examples are P113 and P700P701. Also, show up as P&D on "Call Out" column.

You might see a few strange locations like RPSTAGE, RESETDEVICE or MKLINESTAGE. These are items / orders that are problematic and being worked on.

Returns locations are STAGEA01 - STAGEA05. On a normal day 1-5 signify the day of the week. Returns will put all of Monday’s returns into STAGEA01 and then send them up to B to be put away that day. On a normal day, turnaround is same day to next day. When returns are heavy, or receiving is busy there could be some added days and possible overlapping of STAGE locations now filled with multiple days taking it out of sequence.

Trailers consist of two scenarios. They are either trailers on the yard-holding product, or have product on them moving from A, or C up to B. All trailers are associated with a STAGE location starting with a T. Examples are T737 or TS1649. If a trailer is on the yard, we can easily get it to a dock same day. If it is coming from c to B, it will be unloaded same day unless there is no floor space in B to unload it to.

Assembly locations are STAGED in STAGEC01 - STAGEC05 marked as "In Assembly" on Call Out column. Just as Returns, they signify day of the week. This hold true until Assembly is overloaded with builds, or B has no floor space to unload and C starts to build up stock waiting. Assembly will scan out of STAGEC locations and onto Trailer locations. In the off event there is not a trailer with a set up system location, it could physically be on a trailer on its way to B but still be systematically in a STAGEC location. On a normal day turnaround time is same day to next day depending on time trailer is moved. On a bad day it could be 2-3days.

STAGEB locations are a little complicated. STAGEB13-25 are STAGE locations that are located in front of the breakroom up at B. It is what we call our small put away. Many of these items are destined to our Voice, 8th or 16th locations. Examples of them are as follows: Voice (10214B03), 8th (13102A), 16th (12514B). STAGEB13-25 are typically put away same day, or during the night on 3rd. STAGEB24-30 are small parcel lanes in receiving. This consists of UPS, FedEx, USPS packages that typically end up in the small put away in STAGEB13-25. STAGEB31-48 is our main STAGE lanes for LTL / TL and Ocean Containers. All of these are destined to Bulk Storage, P&D's or Mocksville locations. In a rare occasion, they will be put onto storage trailer out on yard. On a regular day, these lanes are turned over quickly and hold one PO. In our current environment we are still trying to deal with the space constraints that have been a challenge for a long time now leading to multiple Po's being put into same lane. While receiving does their best to receive as many PO’s as possible, we need to know if there is an item in those STAGE lanes that is HOT.

StageB01-07 out bound lanes that are not for inventory, used for pending shipping in the system. These are considered as temporary staging lanes for shipping. Example: custom kit order for 1000 kits that are shipping after completion will stage here as a shippable location but never go into an actual put-away location.
